Laser Tattoo Removal

Getting a tattoo can be a regrettable decision, especially if the tattoo is distasteful or embarrassing. For many years, the traditional method of removing tattoo involves salabrasion, cyrosurgery, and excision. Salabrasion is a technique that involves rubbing salts to the tattoo area of the skin. Cryosurgery is a treatment that freezes the tattoo and removes the skin of containing the tattoo. Excision is a procedure that removes the whole skin by cutting. Recently, laser removal tattoo is starting to becoming more popular as it is quick, effective, and safe compared to the traditional tattoo removal. Recently, laser removal tattoo is starting to becoming more popular as it is quick, effective, and safe compared to the traditional tattoo removal.

Before discussing laser removal, let's talk about how tattoo is applied to the skin. To my surprise the ink contains compounds of heavy metal such as copper, cobalt, cadmium, lead, etc. With the use of a needle machine loaded with ink dye, the needle penetrates the epidermis and into the dermis, where the nerves and blood vessels are located. During the process, the needle is creating wounds which activates the immunity cells to patch up the wound and making the ink permanent. Even though it is permanent, there are ways to erase the tattoo via laser removal.

To put in simplest term, the laser machine targets the ink with certain wavelength and frequency that it breaks down the ink into little pieces. This allows the immunity cells, such as the macrophages, to consume the remnants of the ink and dissolve the ink. While there are some disadvantages of laser removal such as damaging skin cells, the method is handled safely and efficiently. Personally, I would go with this procedure if I ever want to get of unwanted tattoo design.

The takeaway from this blog post is that if you are planning on getting a tattoo, know exactly what you are doing. Know what tattoo ink you are getting in the body on a chemical level and what is the design. It is a lot harder to the tattoo off than getting on. The practice of laser removal provides the service needed to get the job done and within the budget as well.

Technology and Hackers in Our Lives

Our technology keeps the world changing constantly with the widespread use of computers. The Internet is the greatest resource anyone can easily access with a click of a mouse. More people are using the computer on their free time than people who read books. Not only can a message be spread one part of a region to another, but people are connecting with each other. For me, technology is a huge part of my life. My typical day involves waking up with an alarm clock in my Samsung Galaxy phone, asking Google Assistant on the weather, checking my agenda on Google Calendar, figuring out the best route to work or school with Google Maps, listening to Pandora inside my car with touchscreen, reading emails from my phone, posting my current activities on social media, and so forth. In the Age of Information or the Computer Age, my life is the result of technology evolving. While technology is quickly progressing, certain fields are prone to cybercrime.

Technology is a huge advancement in human society, however, there is a general lack of concern in areas that are needed to be protected from hackers. It is hard to imagine a hacker taking control of a smart phone and sending random messages to whoever is on the contact list. It is hard to imagine a hacker controlling the engine of a car where they can lock the doors and force the car to go at any speed.  It is hard to imagine a hacker easily break through medical devices and change the outcome of a patient’s life. Not only are these wrong, but they are real. Personally, I never heard of this kind of situations until this week. Usually, I thought hackers just hack a person’s email account like mine was on two separate email accounts. However, hackers are constantly attacking every aspect of business which include banks, stores, military, hospitals, and so forth. Hackers do this either to gain some sort of advantage such as financial status, or to damage a person’s reputation or their own life.

More businesses are in constant need of computer engineers and technicians to fight off computer invaders. I know many of my friends are working for companies needing protection, and they all have said that they are constantly combating hackers daily. An advice from my friends to the public is to be aware of attackers and have a strong security. Create complex passwords that include special characters and numbers, have a two-step verification code, and do not share personal information to strangers. All in all, technology has come a long way from now, and will continue to quickly evolve for our lives to follow.

Senior Project Links

The theme of the group project was a rap song that summarizes our life at RCHS. Hardest part was matching the scenes to the music videos. The easiest part was making the videos :3. Too bad we didn't include all the lyrics since time was limited. Phooey.

Capstone Presentation Reflection

My capstone presentation was much less than I anticipated. I had to present my project two hours after the judges started judging other students. I didn't felt nervous since I'm Steven Nguyen, and Steven Nguyen doesn't feel nervous (I know. I'm awesome.) By the time the judges got to mine, I sense a bit of tiredness, and the questions asked were basic. To me, the judges weren't much in depth in my project that I had put for the entire school year. I felt unappreciative, but glad at the same time. My friend's capstone impressed one person so much that the person was willing to give him a job. Why can't I have theses nice things? (Oh yeah, because I'm too AWESOME). My website didn't go as exact as my wireframe. I had to change some of the order to better fit my website for the users. Overall, I think the presentation was all right. I enjoyed checking out other student's booth, and their passion. All wasn't much a waste of time, I got the experience of researching and problem-solving in a way that I have never done before. I can apply new methods of writing my research paper by the time I'm on an university.

Capstone Presentation Assets

So my booth is going have some of the necessary components relating to my capstone. Since my end product is dealing against stress with massage tools, I'll display some of the tools. There will be a head scalp, a non-battery back massager, and stress balls. All these tools will be shipped in a box, and I can personally deliver the tools along with a brochure to spread the awareness of veterinary stress. I'll include an online map of the nearby veterinary clinics to demonstrate the places to deliver the package. I used Of course that means I'll have a website displayed, and there's a possibility I'll bring my pet Chihuahua along. There'll will be table cloth hopefully!
